  3. You need auxiliary heat. Carrier has hyperheat now on their high end heat pumps. It can match the minisplit. I'm putting a system in this week. However, the cost is $8k higher than a standards heat pump. The numbers only work on large capacity systems. Maybe 10 years from now the price will be the same.
