  1. To be perfectly fair on this issue, several actors from the OT and George himself have said Star Wars a like a noose for them. Alec Guieness the actor who played Obi-Wan for instance, hated how Star Wars overshadowed his rather storied career as both a comic actor, and his more serious roles such as in The Bridge at River Kwai. Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams have actually been two of the only actors who have stuck to their roles for most of the franchise's history playing their characters even through parodies.
