@Yoshimatsu-h4x He has a point Jar Jar has a character arc and his flaws are treated as flaws. Not to mention he is annoying to most of the characters as he is to the people who hate him. The much-quoted line "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent" was a dig at Jar Jar's stupidity by Qui-Gon. He would have left him to be executed if he didn't A. need a navigator and B. respect Jar Jar's right to live.

@popuptarget7386 No it isn't because of the context. He was saying that this in response to Vader claiming if you are not with him, you are his enemy. That is an absolute and Obi-Wan's response that only Sith deal in absolutes is just calling out the with us or against us mentality is an absolute and what a Sith would believe not a Jedi who understand the concept of neutrality.
