@kidd32888 Not if it doesn't respect the lore with casting or try to enforce modern messanging when the creator despised it. Jackson was clear he wasn't inserting personal politics in his films and neither was the rest of the crew.

@ivanasukjadic1423 Someone's race isn't a way to make them immune to criticism as that is racist. Also the writing is the real issue. As in it would only make sense if she was really Sauron in disguise.

I always love when movies and series don't get how small an seemingly impressive number actually is. For example, Rise of Palpatine claiming that his big fleet 100,000 ships sounds impressive then you remember he would have to police 3 billion inhabitable planets plus five satellite galaxies with this fleet. Even if they can blow up planets that is no easy task for such as small fleet. And that isn't even getting to absurdly short time table for their deployment. I am saying all this because that is what the 300 strong army reminded me of. The writers probably thought that number was impressive in their head.

@inthefade They weren't they were faithful to the tone of the original book the things people complained about not being like the Lord of the Rings movies is missing the fact The Hobbit was a children's story written before Tolkien had a plan for Middle-Earth being a serious fantasy work.

@drdeesnutts48 Except it actually was stated they had beards more or less. If a race is known for their beards and as mentioned in both the appendices and by Gimli in the second movie that Dwarf women are confused with Dwarf men, they would most likely have beards.

I am pretty sure Mulder and Scully are basically the FBI's go-to agents for anything that is remotely weird or supernatural. AKA all but one episode of the entire series.
