  5. Well the real reason the Soviet Union fell is far more complicated. It is mostly because Gorbechav let the iron grip of past leaders ease off and allowed the Soviet Socialist Republics to embrace capitalism. The sanctions aren't going to affect Putin.

  8.  @Ashmedai1974  Most leaders are too cowardly to face Putin and he knows it. I am trying to avoid politics but you would note Putin didn't invade during the last administration in the US but was more happy to invade under the past two administrations.

  19. No he knew that America wouldn't get into an armed conflict over this attack. He previously invaded Georiga and Crimera which while facing widespread comdenation on the international stage, no one was willing to fight to stop it. It is like Who Shot Mr. Burns. Everyone wants to stop Russia but is waiting for someone else to do it first before they join so no one ends up doing anything meaningful.

  20. It wouldn't be invading when you are trying to drive out an occupying force. That is known as a Police Action it was done in Kuwait and South Korea.
