That is an insult to actual Zombie games. A complaint among the fans is that TLOU2 like The Walking Dead in later seasons focused more on human enemies than the zombies in the game. If you want to be considered a Zombie game you should be fighting zombies for most of the game and have Zombie Genocidist achivement.

This is true of most awards shows and has been for a long time. For example, Tron was not nominated for best visual effects despite pioneering the use of CGI in films because they thought it was cheating by using computers or how Parasite won Best Picture last year despite the laundry list of great movies also in the running with my personal favorites being Ford vs Ferrari and Joker.

Except most of the Call of Duty games deserve at least a look at. This is a series that Pionnered mechanics such as regenerating health.

It has been like that in other areas two. I am still pissed that out of all the movies that were nominated for best picture, Ford vs Ferrari and Joker lost to a Korean film. At least make an English dub if you want to seriously consider a nomination outside of best foreign film.

@jwenting That is why Australia is probably better. The journalists have been known to not award any car of the year if they feel the line-up is full of lemons.

@Blaze_Shadowflame Well there is that and you hardly fight the Zombies. It is like the laters seasons of the Walking Dead where the human antagonists get more focus than the Zombies. You hardly fight them so it isn't really a Zombie game.

A lot of people get snubbed in the awards shows. I was personally upset that neither Christian Bale or Matt Damon got nominated for Ford vs Ferrari. It seemed perfect for Oscar circle jerk as they like nominating biopic films.
