  1. Similar scams already exist. I don't know if UEG pointed it out already in the video (I am writing this as I am watching), but space can't be sold due to treaties treating it as international waters not owned by any nation. This is how we get the Mark Whatney Space Pirate line from The Martian.

  15.  @angrymokyuu1951  Except that isn't true maritime law similarly defined Antarctica and the north pole as International Waters meaning they can't be claimed as territory for any nation and we still honor that. It is going to unlikely they will break that treaty when it is still honored on Earth not the mention the consequences of breaking that treaty which include being nuked.

  18. Maritime law is still being followed on Earth despite multiple naval powers so yeah Space will remain international waters.

  20.  @mindfortress105  China has already reclaimed land from the ocean, and so has South Korea, the UAE, Bahrain, Canada, Macau, Singapore, Denmark, Saudi-Arabia, The Philippines, Australia, Germany, France, the UK, Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, Italy, Kazakstan, and Nigeria. So yes you can build a country on the ocean. Even Austria a land-locked nation has made an artificial island.

  23. I prefer a variant used by Wayland Jennings frequently in The Dukes of Hazzard where he says "I have some beachfront property in Tennessee to sell you." I mean technically you can sell someone a bridge as there are Bridge-Layer Vehicles developed for various militaries so they can transport large armor vehicles over gaps when bridges are unavailable, destroyed, or not rated to handle armor.
