  4. Well the issue wasn't the taxes themselves but rather the lack of say the colonies had in the matter. The use of Crown Governors who made dumb decisions like trying to confiscate the arms of the colonist, and the Boston Massacre (which admittedly the colonist weren't completely blameless but in the end everyone came out looking bad) just made everything worse.

  5.  @UnknownGhostPSN  That was not a revolution it was a movement. Revolutions suggest fighting when you had several prominent figures in the NAACP who worked to make the entire movement peaceful. The more violent types like Malcom X and the Black Panthers were fringe groups.

  15.  @SoldierOfFate  Well Hong Kong is a different ball game. China is a country that looked at the first declaration of human rights and saw it as how not to run a country. China ignored the sovereignty Hong Kong had which exists because it has a complicated legal history, but the short version it has its own government and culture. Also it was Chinese police they talking about.
