@Individual_Lives_Matter Except he wasn’t a tyrant. He gave up his alleged unlimited power after the Civil War ended. Government centralization was simply the natural result of technological advancements such as the railroad and telegraph which predated Lincoln and other similar innovations that caused interstate commerce to become the Norm.

@christopherconard2831 Japan had no intention of battling Russia. They had a non-aggression pact with the Soviets which the Soviets broke to declare war on Japan at the 11th hour. And Germany had no hope of completely capturing Russia let alone holding it.

Hardly mop up work. The Soviets spent years begging for the second front the Allies finally did in 1944 not to mention we made their invasion a lot easier by turning the Rrhur and Rhineland into cinders. And North Africa was all Western Allies.

Sean we didn’t defeat the Nazis. It was an international effort but the Soviet Union did carry a significant part of the credit being the ones to actually take Berlin. The Fascists in Italy were defeated meanwhile by the Italians themselves who overthrow Mussolini and then signed an Armistice with the US and UK. The Italians were also the ones who ended up killing Mussolini in the end.
