I think the gun free zone thing is a federal law. Texas schools couldn’t get rid of the gun free zone even if they wanted to.

But that doesn’t make sense as you can use a rifle in the military at 18. Those are automatic weapons you can use at 18.

You are being extreme. These are best cops and you are suggesting tactics that would be used by tactical teams. As for why the door wasn’t locked. Probably because there was no school resource officer to lock it. The security of any system is always most weak from the people manning it.

@davidkiller61 Because people keep Complaining about police being “militarized” and it takes time to deploy a tactical team. Just like regular police never instantly arrive to respond to a 911 call.
