Large withdrawals do require that the bank try to make sure it is you doing it.

@pieshka6 AJW mentions this in the video. 10k and above you need to get manager involved. This was a 12k withdrawal.
2
Shouldn’t it be 12,999 as that is how much he was trying to withdraw?
2
So you are basically saying he wasn’t trying to rob a bank he was just attempting a different crime. He hit all the flags of a robbery tellers are trained to notice.
2
TYT is blaming the teller who called the cops in this instance and that is a problem as Ryan ticked off every red flag short of pulling out a gun shouting this was a robbery.
2
What is so obviously wrong? He hit multiple red flags to warrant the police be called and he be detained while the situation was investigated:
1
Well that is the proper procedure.
1
Yes he did. He lives in LA this is in Atlanta on the exact opposite side of the country. This isn’t like it is in his backyard.
1
The policy of reporting transactions over 10k is from the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 not the Patriot Act. That has nothing to do with what happened.
1
I am skeptical about that.
1
Probably if they don’t report it on their annual tax forms.
1
I am suprised you mentioned Wesley as he has done time for tax evasion which is probably what Ryan is doing.
1
No you are only arrested when it is announced. For instance SWAT procedure dictates that everyone who isn’t an officer has to be detained until they sort out who’s who.
1
Handcuffs are needed to make sure there is no threat and it stays that way. And police procedure is everyone at a scene is handcuffed until they are sure who’s who.
1
@endless3cho 10k is the limit where you have to make things more secure by checking ID and making sure you are actually doing the transaction.
1
But that gets tracked to prevent stuff like Identity theft.
1
@charlesvan13 That is the most generous interpretation, but I am not generous. I think he is probably buying something illegal.
1
She had enough evidence already. Wearing a mask, hoodie and sunglasses when all are banned at banks and then there is the fact he on the wrong side for his withdrawal asked it to be discreet and it was 10k which is the amount banks are keep a strict eye on. Either he is really that dumb or was up to something really shady.
1
@ericdraccip It was written in the wrong side that is a textbook robbery tactic. People have tried that before.
1
I should point out in addition to wearing a mask and hoodie, Ryan was in Atlanta but resides in LA so he wouldn’t be instantly recognizable.
1
@ericdraccip Well it was out of state so that was probably a red flag to her.
1
Atlanta it appears. Just proves that godforsaken city is bizzaro world. Source I am resident of an Atlanta suburb.
1
The TMZ watermark is hilarious.
1
The teller didn’t notice the ID and he hit all the red flags. Identity Theft is a think you know. A man could have found out that information and either stole or forged an ID (the fact it is out of state is pretty shady) and pretended to be Ryan.
1
@E_Ten Except even if that the information he gave there is a potential for identity theft. It hits plenty of red flags like the out-of-state ID.
1
@E_Ten Except the content of the note shouldn't have assuaged her suspicion as it was written on the back where there they put "do not write" and the contents were sketchy as hell. It wasn't a clear case of misunderstanding. He raised multiple red flags enough to get the police involved.
1
@E_Ten You don't seem to know anything about robberies. Most people don't do in guns blazing like in the movies most robbers try to use notes written on the back of pages like what he did.
1
@ericdraccip Not when it is written like a robbery note and he is acting so shady. Plus she couldn't authorize the transaction due to it being 12k.
1
@E_Ten Bank of America is just covering their ass from potential backlash. And I have evidence. His actions raised multiple red flags.
1
@ericdraccip As many people pointing he could have been held hostage given there was still running car outside. Or you know it was an identity thief.
1
@E_Ten No there are robbers who are stupid enough to give over personal information. You give them too much credit.
1
Only in the movies.
1
I think he is doing something shady with that money. A housekeeper doesn’t earn 12k.
1
He was detained.
1
As Dirty Harry said when a man is chasing a woman with a knife and a hard-on he probably isn’t asking for donations to the Red Cross.
1
Asking for it to be discreet is pretty shady even if it was celebrity.
