It was meant to highlight that the Jedi way is a lifetime commitment like their inspirations such as the Knight Templar or Samurai or Buddhist Monks. That is why you see alien among the younglings. You don't see Nikto children in reality but you have them in the movie as part of the Bear Clan. And Red Letter Media, They are some of the worst so-called reviewers to ever possibly exist.   2. Nah Micheal sticks to having things explode that are intended to explode. He would just have someone blow a house or two in order to kill the monsters. Or add some scenes where the military tries ineffectively to kill the giant mantis and the blob that ate everyone which causes a shift to Kaiju genre.

  5. No Bay doesn't do CGI outside of transformers where it is pretty much unavoidable. He tends to use practical effects to blow things up. The explosions, all real.

  8. If you look at his early films they are pretty. Bad Boys took a lot of time building up the climax where you had more the Micheal Bay cliches. The Rock is also still well liked because it shows the way for the some of the Bayisms (for example this movie is one of the only pieces of media to point the President has to authorize any missile firing on US soil from an aircraft.)
