No that was because Ohio and it’s neighbors Pennsylvania and West Virginia were able to handle it without FEMA. You only call FEMA when the state itself can’t do it on its own. The EPA however, was present on account of the toxic spill being their jurisdiction.

@1neAdam12 It was actually the opposite. Many people who had serious crimes were acquitted for lack of evidence. Just look at the HBO film Conspiracy, every single character in the “What happened to them?” epilogue is mentioned to be tried and acquitted with the only notable exceptions being Rudolf Heidrich who was assassinated during the War and Adolf Eichman who was acquitted at first but later charged and convicted in Israel years later after new evidence emerged proving his involvement. Not to mention Gustav Krupp got a slap on the wrist as he was declared mentally incompetent and unable to stand trial and Admiral Karl Doneitz was given the lightest sentence of anyone convicted as the most egregious crimes he did were only done after the Allies themselves set the precedent.
