  2. I mean if they wanted to take that premise they should had Shaggy be the one who was involved with drugs as he is basically a stoner in attitude in the original cartoons.

  4. Velma was the smart one of the group there is more to do with her than your comment suggested. The problem is the series doesn't do anything clever. I should remind that while many new incarnations of the series have to find more ways to flesh out Fred and Daphne as characters, Velma has survived realtively unchanged from the original Hanna-Barbara Cartoons.

Apu is sometimes shown performing actions that are at best shady at the Kwik-E-Mart like removing the exparation dates on expired food, but those are the same type of one-off gags they used for every recurring character in the show (barring Homer and Apu which established it was offical company policy.)

  6. Yeah this made the first Scooby-Doo movie look better by comparison (it was written by James Gunn to be a more adult take on the franchise before the executives forced him to change it).
