  1. "Every nation is better pre-communism" China wasn't in the best shape before the CCP took over. If you go back far enough it is better yes but the period immediately before their takeover was hell. You had the Civil War and the Second-Sino Japanese War, and WWII happening all more or less at the same time.

  4.  @Underworlddream  It isn't just that but his role as Shang-Chi's father was taken from Fu Manchu in the comics. Fu Manchu is now seen as an offensive stereotype so they replaced him with a character who basically is Fu Manchu with the serial numbers filed off.

  5.  @Shenzhou.  The Chinese Civil War began in 1927 so China didn't have war for at least a decade until Communism was popular. Also you can't say definitely China wouldn't be unified if it wasn't for Mao as that is a lie. Taiwan isn't part of the PRC and Hong Kong wasn't part of China during his tenure.

  6. No not really. The movies includes themes of self-destructive behavior, genocide multiple times, incredibly violent deaths, a big brother government that targets its citizens because they might be a threat and the Incredible Hulk.

  7.  @betepolitique4810  I would point to The Incredible Hulk, Civil War, and Winter Soldier as rebuttals. Those movies handle stuff you wouldn't see in kids films. The latter two in particular have heavy political themes that would fly over the heads of kids.

  8.  @comsyk3272  Nah The Incredible Hulk was good and wasn't trying to be edgy. It was trying to be an accurate adaptation of the Hulk comics and it was. The Hulk was always the Mr. Hyde to Banner's Dr. Jekkyl.

  13. Well, they had their chance with Iron Man 3 and we got a twist so bad even M. Night Smalyaln wouldn't use it. I was surprised people thought we would get a good Mandarin in a movie where he isn't even fighting Iron Man. Worse they used The Mandarin in a role he wasn't required for. Marvel had two characters who served of Shang-Chi's father in the comics (Long story short his old man was original a character Marvel had a license to use but they lost it). It would be like DC making a Metamorpho movie where Lex Luthor is the main antagonist instead of Simon Stagg.

  15.  @alexandermccabe556  The American mission failed because they were rushing it. It is mentioned that they cut the six months needed to prepare the probe to three and then didn't do a pre-flight check. The Chinese didn't skimp on anything.
