A colleague of mine knows Shaun Pinner.My colleague lived in Ukrainian back in 2018.Shaun intentionally went to Ukraine looking for conflict!He was previously in Syria.Shaun signed up to the Azov Battalion!He even wore a Azov SS t-shirt walking around the Moldovan capital Chisinau on a visit.Which my colleague thought was provocative!Shaun was not a Ukrainian citizen at that time and was not married! He wanted at war and was fighting in the Donbass Region against the Russian speaking separatists! My colleague said that Shaun is a nice guy but a little out there in his thinking!He even tried to persuade my colleague to join the fight but my colleague was not in Ukraine for conflict and he has no military experience! So knowing this.Im not sure what to make of the court ruling in Donetsk!

@arfon2000 Well if they are Ukrainian citizens now then they are not Her Majesty's Government responsibility?I'm reading that Ukrainian law does not allow dual citizenship!So they are no longer British! Shaun went there before all this he was engaged in armed conflict and he knew the risks or did he???So in the Russian separatists eyes they are mercenaries and had no business in a conflict that was not theirs.It was their decision!So can't count on any support they are basically at DPR administration mercy!

@arfon2000 I know but why is it now being said that they are Ukrainian citizens because was British citizens initially!They are not mercenaries? As for the French foreign Legion and Gurkha they have been established for centuries.Is clear who they are. If they are Ukrainian citizens now and is being said by Ukrainian law you can't hold dual citizenship and Her Majesty's Government is not responsible for them.They signed up to a conflict that was ethnic and possibly didn't understand fully!The fact Shaun was in Azov Battalion says alot and was a concern on media just a few years ago.
