  1. The US did everything to break both British and French influence globally, after WW2! France to this day still doesn't trust the US completely! One of the reasons France developed it's own nuclear weapons. Dispute US protests!

  2. Yes America threatened to destroy the pound! France even to this day don't trust the US and one of the main reasons was Suez! France went full steam ahead in developing the hydrogen bomb after Suez!
