Nicola will now have to answer and not avoid the questions relating to independence as she has done up till now! What currently will be created if independent because the Pound can't be used indefinitely if independent and nor can the Euro but as a side note the SNP have hinted that they want the Euro!That can only be a reality if Scotland were allowed to join the EU!A new currency will have to be created first!I hope Nicola and her disciples can answer that and be truthful on the actual reality of rejoining the EU the real time scale! Will Nicola promise that none of the free stuff that the SNP like to hand out as a bribe for votes,will not be reduced or even stopped in trying to join and meeting the EU fiscal rules!Or is the SNP thinking that Scotland is a special case rules don't apply the them!Is Nicola thinking that Scotland can be like Eastern Europe and be a net receiver of EU funds!Is serious because at times the SNP seem to just think that every thing will be just fine!The question over a hard border with the rest of the UK!She squirms when asked that question! I would have more respect for the SNP if they just said that will be a difficult time after independence but of course they would not say that and lose a pro independence referendum by an even bigger margin as the 2014 referendum!

@astralxing988 Only if the UK government agrees to a fully legal and mutually decided date of an independence referendum! Nicola speech stated that the Scottish parliament will decide the time but that is not the legal right of the devolved government in Holyrood.The SNP with the greens help can only vote on a request for a referendum.If the SNP did try holding a referendum on there own and in a hypothetical scenario the Scottish electorate did vote for independence the EU Commission and the vast majority of EU members would not recognise it!So Nicola will as usual not be focused on education or drug addiction deaths but will be business as usual trying to get an other referendum!

@The9ninebar I remember when Catalonia held the illegal independence referendum and the SNP turned their backs on Catalonia's independence politician's!After backing Catalonia for independence for years but once the Spanish government arrested pro independence officials and issued European arrest warrants the SNP fell silent!Nicola put her own self interest first and other EU member states will do the same vote for their own national interests.So Nicola can't cry when they do!There is no anti Scottish sentiment across Europe but national interest comes first!

The over all percentage of votes have gone to the 3 pro unionist parties!Even with the greens backing the SNP!The SNP will now have to make more concessions to the greens! As for Boris not granting a second referendum on independence,he doesn't have to!That was the clause with in devolution.The British Prime minister who ever he or she is doesn't have to agree to anything!The SNP think just because the way the electoral system in Scotland works giving them the most seats and being the single largest party but more of the Scottish electorate voted against the SNP and the greens,the SNP always think they speak for Scotland! As a Scot will be interesting watching the SNP fighting with Boris if and when there will be an independence referendum.Nicola is wrong it's not about the Scottish electorate and Westminster standing in the way. It's the usual SNP fighting the Tories!

@Gouldarr Explain how Scotland will be more prosperous? There will be terrible infighting and arguments within Scotland!Scots would have to give up alot of free state sponsored projects to be eligible to even be considered to join the EU and Scotland would have no chance if they were not prepared and in the position to be a net contributor to EU funding!The EU Commission would not be giving Scotland much back in return!Scotland would have to give everything to EU to bribe their way in!
