  7. It's kind of fucked up regarding him as an adult when he's only 15. The fact that he was mature probably stems from a harsh upbringing, it doesn't mean his brain is fully developed yet. A lot of teenagers are psychopathic by nature, it's just the stage of their cerebral development, that's why bullying and violence is common among teenagers. And even though a 15 y/o may "understand" the consequences of their actions, they still have extremely poor judgement and can very easily set the consequences aside in their minds (I personally remember being able to just think "ignore the consequences" and I immediately stopped feeling anxious of whatever bad idea I was going to attempt). His simple narrative as to what "might have happened" (burglary etc) is very consistent with a worldview of a child who's not matured fully and learned how the world works as well. Also the fact that family stepped in to defend him speaks volumes. At that age he quite fairly could not be much else than a product of his upbringing anyway, so giving this kid 100% of the blame for what he did is nothing short of ignorant. I hope he gets therapy in prison and that he gets out one day.
