Apparently Kursk was blown up by torpedos Russia haven't used since the cold war. There are very good docs about this that explains what actually happened, and why it got so politically infected.

Backing out of a decision as captain isn't all that easy as his crew may never trust a decision he makes again. At least he kept calm and composed right till the end without causing panic. Also hard to predict the list that starved the engine of oil. The "support" they got was below all criticism however. Sounded like customer support on some damn tech store or something. Woman was like "oh their boat is sinking, hope they all have life jackets 😮 dogs and cats first rite"...

@crossfire2045 So you start out by implying that I must be limited to "pointless" conversations like ones about the weather etc, and then you contradict your own point by saying that conversation doesn't have to have structure or reason. Wouldn't that make conversation about trivial things like the weather ok according to your own confused logic? Of course you're just pissed that I've called you out, and are just grasping for any straw right now. You seem to have a very autistic view on social skills and arguments. And then you put words in my mouth and create an argument out of thin air, saying I implied that having a good social life is pointless. I just pointed out the stupidity of pointless conversation - not that having a good social life with rich conversation is pointless. You're the one advocating completely pointless conversations with irrelevant inputs - not me. I guess if you'd have better social skills you'd realize all of this yourself, and probably would have withdrawn from this conversation instead of sitting down and dragging your ass all over this thread after shitting yourself this badly.

Don't know how to get that through your thick skull any other way, it seems you have locked yourself into some kind of fallacy that you refuse to let go off since that would force you to admit that you're wrong, which in turn may be something you're unable to do due to some kind of diagnose. Either way you just prove me right by continuing this silly behavior. And the fact that you keep responding in this silly manner is definite proof that you're pissed over being called out, and simply saying "no" is not an argument when all the circumstances say yes - you've simply gone into denial at this point and I'm just humoring you now. Second reply: Yes, I called you out for doing something silly - that's the whole basis for this. I wasn't annoyed, I was a bit baffled at something that broke the social norm and pointed it out. Then you - who probably suffer from some kind of social diagnose but are in denial of the consequences of it - got very annoyed and tried to explain it all away, which you abnormally enough are still trying to do. @crossfire2045 Well the fact of the matter is that the very reason that I had a problem with your first reply is the same reason I am right, because my logic makes sense. It doesn't make sense to you because of your diagnose, and probably never will. I've just been extraordinarily patient.

But the problem here was that it wasn't relevant, soeh... yeah. And I've been extremely patient with you chasing your own tail in your efforts to avoid admitting that I've been right all along.
