  1. Could have to do with US opinion polling now running 55-45 against another Ukrainian aid package. In Germany, AfD has gained very substantially into second place ahead of regional elections; AfD is pretty flatly against further aid. Ukraine probably has to show some substantial breach of Russian defenses soon to continue getting current or higher levels of help.

  2. Taurus missiles might be problematic for Germany since AfD has passed every party but one in recent polling before the upcoming elections with a policy of rolling back support. The ruling coalition may need to tap the brakes on aid to stay ahead.
