  1. This pod is fighting Ukraine’s war in the information space, and it’s good that someone is doing that. Evenhanded analysis can be found at places like ISW; on YT there are several eg Perun, and occasionally Ward Carrol has Ukraine content.

  2. Both sides do this, Spetsnaz have had plenty of practice in the last couple decades to stay sharp for the war with Ukraine.

  3. It’s often the rule rather than the exception for soldiers who do not surrender as part of a group capitulation. Doesn’t make it right, but individual soldiers are quite likely not to survive an effort to surrender in combat. When in settled positions between engagements it’s sometimes different, with each side trying to entice enemy soldiers to come across for morale/ propaganda/ intelligence value.
