Besieged cities don’t get supplies, that’s sort of the definition of a siege.

@Carlos12160 That’s not different, it’s the norm for sieges throughout history. Refusal of safe passage of civilians and destruction of any possible food sources were standard siege practice. All of which now fall under condemnation by international law, of course, but remain the most effective siegecraft. About all the progress that has been made is that belligerents now refrain from propelling the dead bodies of infected people (or animals, in the case of zoonoses) into the area of the enemy, as once was the practice.
