  1. 5:12 “Expectation of a Russian offensive in the spring”. That’s not good, the current one hasn’t run its course yet. This implies Russian reserves not currently committed in the current attack along the hundred km or so in southeastern Ukraine, or the positional fighting elsewhere. Are the evacuations of population in the Kharkiv area just in areas coming under fire from Russian advances, or is it more general in anticipation that the expected offensive will fall in that area?

  2. The Russian advances are because they are beating the Ukrainians on the battlefield. Nearly complete dependence on bought or gifted materiel is a tenuous military strategy, and liable to produce the results seen.

  3. I’m sure the Russians are unaware of this and aren’t producing any artillery barrels at all, and have never stored any 😃
