Yes and in her hopes she damned the people of Vietnam to a worse fate of how government should treat their people. Although the communist state there isn’t maintained the same as in China it definitely leaves Vietnam uo for grabs by the much larger nation to envelope it and use it as its own entity to rule over. The people of Vietnam even under communism want to live their own way of life, however they have worse living conditions and standards with their rule of government as their way of running their country

Ah really in school he is only known for Watergate but really there is more to cover on what he did in his time in office as POTUS. Looks like an amazing movie to watch

@theguybehindyou4762 there is much more in depth discussion about that region of Asia but yes we were at that time helping an ally, but the people advocating for “peace” do it under the guise of going against powers they can actually affect and know full well they can’t have peaceful surrender from the communist side of the spectrum. All for a PR stunt to seem “right” in what they were advocating. It’s like the saying of “the worst fates humanly possible all were done with the best of intentions”. No matter the battle for peace there is always going to be victims but the results are what truly matter and what resulted in Vietnam wasn’t the best outcome for their people, but they were all tired of the conflict so they chose to live under a dictatorship rather than fight a war with no public support for the side they wanted to win

@annpeerkat2020 yes I already know and understand that information, yet it doesn’t take away the fact of the matter that Vietnam under communism still are much worse off than if they were to be independently given a more representative form of government were the USA to aid them in that effort, but the truth of what prevented it from being a reality is that the People of the United States were misled into helping give communism a leg up on how to win wars without having to deal with direct conflict with their enemies. I already stated what went behind the scenes and the USA wasn’t seeking control of Vietnam as people want to fabricate as the truth but were aiding France’s territory and were wanting it to be established the same way it helped South Korea not be controlled as another communist puppet

@ absolutely. I was more shocked that I had known this in my adulthood and it’s not a part of education but then again most education follows a standardized curriculum that really doesn’t educate but more so is setup to portray that mindset are being taught. However are they actually being educated and made to think as well as given vital important information rather than key curriculum points that cover partial components of knowledge
