What a great human being. I envy his character but admire who he is. Nothing negative towards him in any way but I want to get to his level and push past that. Seemingly impossible but it can be done

Who says those things? They sound like the most stupidest people alive

@tjcogger1974 envy is also a motivational drive when utilized correctly. It can turn into respective adoration and become competitiveness. Not everything has to be seen as negative
1
@tjcogger1974 you misunderstood everything because you take it too literal.
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah and you misrepresented it as it isn’t described as you said and you are reflecting only on the negative concept of the word. It isn’t that literal either in the way you described it
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah you only focused on one word from the definition and passed it off as the actual definition. You clearly misunderstand English
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah which is what you did by pointing out a single word in the definition as if it defined it entirely. Are you literate?
1
@tjcogger1974 resentful longing is actually the key definition in the word. You focused just on the negativity of the definition. That key feature in the definition of the word can turn into admiration or respect in some shape or form. Learn how to interpret English better. Maybe I should look up words for you and explain to you what they mean exactly
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah longing contradicts the resentful part in the definition unless you don’t know what contradict means. So basically it’s up to the individual whether to choose which overlaps the other. You are the type to focus on the negativity aspect of it whereas I did no such thing. There is no need to argue against what I fully understand. The only difficult part is teaching you to understand how to think and figure out what is going on. Clearly you are outclassed here
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah words do cancel each other out otherwise we wouldn’t have contradictions. Making up things to fit your point doesn’t change the reality of the matter. You literally don’t know how words work and you are only looking at the noun of the word envy not the verb
1
@tjcogger1974 it is as resent is meaning to push away or reject something whereas longing is to attract or to add onto oneself. So it is a contradiction unless you believe it to not be the case, which means I can’t help you there as that’s what the words mean and are interpreted into.
1
@tjcogger1974 yeah and you are going off topic with the word by trying to pass off the word envy as the noun form of the word not the verb which is what my comment was aimed at. You do know you are playing yourself as that’s what the action expresses from the definition when used properly in the form I used it.
1
@tjcogger1974 now you are beibg silly trying to divert things into your pov. The verb for envy is - desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable attribute belonging to (someone else) I think you are confused with what you perceive reality as and want it to fit your own personal motives but you cannot outsmart someone who is more grounded in reality than you are, apparently.
