I repeat - I am currently not trying to persuade you that Christianity is true, though my research shows it is the best explanation for life. First I am trying to help you question the lies you have been fed. Give me an example of Chris strawmanning. And what have you asked Chris? Why would you believe a religion where the person who claimed to hear the word of Allah also conveniently got more wives than everyone else. And got his adopted son's wife. Highly suspect. Really! Do you need me to google that for you too - or can you do it yourself (I'm now assuming that you don't know your Quran)

  4.  @toby7936  have you ever investigated what Mecca was actually like in the 7th Century. Did you know it was a very small place, with not a good source of water and not on a trade place? There is no archaeological or historical evidence that it was more than a village. Did you know that? There is not good evidence that Mohammad existed. There is good evidence that Islam was made up for political reasons, some years later. Did you know that? Have you ever investigated it? Or do you bury your head in the sand. I am merely spending my time encouraging you to ask the questions that need to be asked. I ask questions of my religion all the time and the more I ask, the stronger my faith becomes. I am challenging you to do the same. If Islam cannot stand scrutiny then leave. I don't need to prove anything to you.

Doesn't make it true tho mind. why do Muslims say that people who aren't Muslims are closed minded and people who are Muslims are open minded? I wasn't born Christian. Were you born Muslim? I was open minded and became Christian. I considered Islam, but it relies on one man, Mohammad, to be honest. And he wasn't. So my open mindedness caused me to reject Islam. Not blindly follow it

He has not responded either time, but I hope this will be the last time he does criticise Bob rather than the argument under debate. I am not beyond disagreeing with Bob, but I would not slander his personality. We need more Bob's and Chrises and other apologists at the corner.

  34. The problem isnt that there are variations per se But: - Muslims claim this is what is written on eternal tablets. Which version? - Muslims claim perfect preservation as evidence for Islam. But there is no perfect preservation - Muslims consider Islam preferable to Christianity because it gives important guidance on e.g. how to wash ... but actually you don't know - you criticise Christianity based on "corruption" but the Quran has the same sort of "corruption" i.e. typos - your scholars change their excuses all the time. Worrying. Could they be lying? - that thing Chris said about Mohamnad changing his mind

The Quran has errors, contradictions, it is badly written and Mohammad had revelations that profited him personally. Muslims who leave are threatened with death.
