  3. These were 3 male lions vs 3 hyenas. A male lion is 3 times bigger. Hyenas do help and those other 2 hyenas might or would have helped if it was a single adult male lion. But no Hyena got killed. Biting the throat of a hyena by a male lion doesn't mean death. Hyenas survive that. Many videos show exactly that

He can suffocate the hyena but as I said it would take him hours to do it. There's the video "unbelievable, male lions kill a hyena in the Kruger national Park". It shows 2 huge male lions killing a hyena. A very similar situation to this video. The owner of that video said that after 4 hours of suffocation the hyena was still alive
