Solar panels last 25-30 years? The statistics now show the average replacement life of Solar panels is actually 8-12 years. And yes, 90% of them are going into landfills (toxic materials included). And yes 43 million tons of blade waste with an average growth of about 30% per year. Even with the recycling and repurposing of blades, we will be inundated with blade waste in just a few short years. And no one has measured the cost of all of this (including the recycling efforts which are not profitable and therefor must be paid for too) in term or the environment. Add this cost to the carbon footprint of the mining of materials to manufacture batteries; the carbon footprint of manufacturing EVs, Solar Panels, and Wind Turbines; the cost of storage solutions for delivery of non peak production power; and the cost of disposal of EVs and their batteries every 10 years because of battery failure (it's more cost effective to buy a new EV than to replace the battery). Tell me where is the upside to supposed Green Energy?
