  1. Invasion forces doesn't include converted ferries and a multitude of other civilian vessels. Estimates exceed 2 million troupes as the number that China purportedly could land on Taiwan. this drastically differs with the 40 thousand estimated in this article. And the estimate of 2 million is only for the initial onset. It doesn't include follow up waves of expeditionary forces that China will more than likely send to the island. Makes for a lot of difference when the Taiwanese may be facing a number as high as 5 million Chinese soldiers, doesn't it.
