  1. US Supercarriers are not able to traverse the Panama Canal. Supercarriers and their Task Forces would have to go around Cape Horn. This is the reason for the size of the 7th Fleet and the US Pacific Fleet. The US Navy 7th Fleet, stationed in Yokosuka NB Japan, is 50-70 Vessels in strength with 150 Aircraft and around 27,000 Men. the USPACFLT is stationed in Pearl Harbor-Hickam Hawaii and North Island California. It has approximately 200 Ships, 2000 Aircraft, and 250,000 Men. Between the 7th Fleet and USPACFLT there are supposedly 9 Carriers, 1 in the 7th Fleet and 8 in USPACFLT. With that much firepower available without the use of the Panama Canal, I can't help but see the canal as unessential, and your argument as erroneous.

But we already have the Majority of the Navy in the the Pacific Theater. between the 7th fleet stationed in Yokosuka Japan and the US Pacific Fleet stationed in Pearl Harbor-Hickam Hawaii and North Island California there are 250-270 ships, 2,270 Aircraft, and 277,000 men. This reportedly includes 9 of the 11 Supercarriers of the US Navy. 😉

  3.  @manhphuc4335  You're Wrong. In a match between The USN and the PLAN, the Chinese would lose an estimated 3 to every 1 ship for the US. In the case of Submarines it is estimated 5 to 1 in Favor of the US and when Carriers are thrown into the mix, it's simply a chicken shoot. On top of all that, there's the new information out of China that the manufacturers of China's missiles have openly admitted that their products are up to 80% defective, meaning that as many as 8 out of 10 of the missiles that the Chinese Armed Forces have simply won't work. This includes all the missiles of the Air Force (all their jets), Navy (all their ships), and Rocket Force (all their land based missiles). It's no wonder Xi Jinping had almost the entire Rocket Force Command eliminated ( 6 highest ranked generals and almost 1800 officers ranked Colonel or above). But no matter. You are also wrong about the US Allies in the Pacific. As the Leader of Japan stated, they see the possible conflict over Taiwan as an existential threat to the countries of the 1st Island Chain and that China must be apposed at all cost. If and when the Chinese invade Taiwan, they will be opposed and they will lose. I'm not saying that it won't be costly however the people who will suffer the most will be the Chinese and hopefully Xi Jinping and the CCP will be eliminated for good.

  5. Wouldn't work. The cost of loading and unloading ships at Panamanian ports and transporting the cargo across Panama would be greater than the cost of sailing around Cape Horn.😊
