My current theory of conservatism is that conservatives are people who deeply internalize the whole world. So if someone is allowed to be LGBTQ conservatives feel that as if you did something to them. same sex marriage disturbs something that's inside their bodies, abortion takes a fetus out of them. Dylan Mulvaney is forcing them to be trans, gay people are forcing macho men to have sex with other men. Atheists are actually taking away their faith. They can't let other people do what they want because there ARE no other people. They are raised to feel ashamed for every deviation from the norm.
