Biden could have vetoed this on entering Office, but in his condition he was incapable of doing this. No NATO member of the armed forces had been killed in Afghanistan for nearly two years. The Taliban were being defeated - slowly, but it was happening. Trump wanted to stand on a stage and announce that no American troops were now on foreign soil, to thunderous applause. Afghanistan is now once again a failed State and the breeding ground 'par excellence' of terrorists whose aim and mission statement is the extermination of Infidels (us).
