Khan has been voted in by his captive voting bloc for the express purpose of protecting them from justice. It is made worse by the fact that he apparently has an unlimited prospect of being in power, like Xi Jin-ping - this is his third term. His re-election is also facilitated by the combination of the proliferation of candidates in the mayoral election with our first-past-the-post voting system. Previously, there was a limited number of terms for this Office, and a proportional- representation voting system. Why were these features changed?
