P Tatchell is either very ignorant or disgustingly cynical in conflating the conversion therapy of decades ago which attempted to 'convert' homosexuals into heterosexuals, and was as ineffective as it was unethical, with psychiatrists and psychotherapists today giving troubled children and adolescents the time and space to explore their problems and anxieties, and thereby alleviating them.
