And, Nana, you forgot to mention the very first thing that Bridget Phillipson (Secretary of State for Education) did before she had even hung up her coat: put a red pen through the legislation giving some protection in Universities for the freedom of speech of students, lecturers and other staff, and visiting speakers. This was enacted - it had gone through all the stages of readings, debates in the House of Commons, scrutiny, debate and voting in the House of Lords, Committee examination and modification, final voting and passing in the Commons, and finally the Royal Assent.
