If Keir Starmer had not been so busy campaigning against the death penalty in other countries which had democratically decided that they wanted it for particularly serious crimes, he might have had the time, in his capacity of Director of Public Prosecutions, to examine the private prosecutions being brought against the sub-postmasters by the Post Office and thrown all of them out as having no merit. THAT WAS HIS JOB, THAT WAS WHAT THE TAXPAYER WAS PAYING HIM FOR. As it was, at the time when he should have been doing this, he was working free of charge to have the sentence commuted of a man who had murdered his step-son by burying him alive.
