  1. Isn't 'Adolescence' a work of fiction? I think it's dangerous to extrapolate directly from a work of fiction to reality. I have seen this done by highly intelligent literary men: Racine's Phaedra, Ibsen's Hedda Gabler, Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth - all being held up as examples of how WOMEN (women with National Insurance numbers) behave.
