  1. NATO is finished. What gets me down is that the American press, at least, appear to think that only American troops were in Afghanistan. Other members of NATO are never mentioned. They don't seem to know that there is a thing called NATO, and the members of it were obliged to invade and occupy Afghanistan, after 9/11, under Article 5 of the NATO Treaty, whereby an attack on one member is treated as an attack on all. The next time America is attacked - and it will be soon - there will be no allies.
