  1. Prescribing puberty-blockers for precocious puberty is totally different. This prevents puberty occurring at, say, five years old which would stunt development. If puberty-blockers are given for that condition, the puberty is stopped at that age and occurs at the expected age - early teens. If puberty-blockers are given to block NORMAL puberty, to ensure that it does not occur at the normal age, the development of body and brain are disrupted and this cannot be restarted where it left off. Irreversible damage will have happened.
