  2. A Pedant writes: Dr Dutton refers to people with mutations having 'asymmetrical brains'. But humans do have asymmetrical brains. The human brain is lateralised, ie each cerebral hemisphere is specialised to do different things. What is referred to as 'the dominant Hemisphere' contains the language centres (Broca's area for language production, and Vernicke's area for language comprehension). This is not always the left hemisphere, even in right-handed people. The non-dominant hemisphere (usually but not always the right hemisphere) seems to be more implicated in spatial processing.
