  1. The lower working class (especially peasants) are usually too ground down and exhausted to organise and form a revolution. It normally comes from the upper working class/lower middle class. The French Revolution was driven by Parisian proletarians who were reading political writings - newspapers and pamphlets - and seeing political satire in their cabarets.
