Re-imposition of restraint? Look at US at present: drag queens performing erotic dances for eight-year-olds and deliberately grooming them for the 'Trans' Industry, ie for either rape or mutilation. This happens in American schools in teaching time under the supervision of teachers.

In the 1950s we were taught to read by the synthetic phonics method. At the end of the first year of Primary 1, everyone could read (even the boy who turned up in the first week without shoes - barefoot in Scotland). There were 53 in the reception class, and we all adored our teacher. Of course, not everyone could read as well as the avid readers, but it's OK to have a reading age of five if you're five.
