  1. If the first person to try to publicise what was happening was Nick Griffin, and the story was ignored/disbelieved/discounted by respectable society because - well, Nick Griffin!! I ask you!! Say no more!! This is an example of the ad-hominem fallacy, where you believe or disbelieve a report, or accept or reject an argument according to who is making it, and not according to whether it agrees with the facts or is logical.
