It horrifies me that these pernicious lies being forcibly taught to children are being conflated with essential activities such as family planning (easy access to contraception, including condoms and vasectomies, and pro-choice abortion). I never thought that being treated like a free prostitute would be remotely liberating for any girl or woman. However, if the alternative is female chastity, the only way to gain respect for a woman, then we are just back to square one. Do I really need to spell it out from the beginning for Lotuseaters?
