  2. This journalist may have performed a service in showing the real, unalloyed ideology of the Taliban is - some people not have believed it literally. It is probably a good thing to hear it from the horse's mouth.

  3. I think Harry is wrong in saying that the failed State that is Afghanistan is of no concern to us. NATO invaded and occupied Afghanistan (adhering to Clause 5 of the Treaty after 2001) because it was a breeding ground for terrorists who attacked Western countries. The NATO forces in Afghanistan were protecting the civilian populations of Europe and North America. No NATO military personnel had been killed in Afghanistan in the 18 months before withdrawal. The problem was that for every Talib killed in Afghanistan by NATO Pakistan threw three more over the border from their Taliban factories.
