  1. FGM: it has been an indictable criminal offence for 37 years, with a sentence of 14 years in prison. I believe that one person has been convicted. I believe that routine examinations by School Nurses (the 'nit nurse') were disbanded because certain members of the 'immigrant community' objected to them - they want to keep practising their 'culture'.
