  2. Monkeypox: musn't be primatist, now! I am going to refer to monkeypox as the WIV-2 virus. It is a DNA virus, therefore is expected to have a much slower mutation rate than an RNA virus (such as SARS-CoV-2). However, it appears that be mutating at the rate of an RNA virus - in the countries outside Africa, where it is endemic in Congo and Nigeria. The virus in the African countries seems to be behaving as before, ie like a DNA virus. Just saying . . .
