The viral-vector vaccines contain a chimpanzee adenovirus, or in the case of the Russian one, a human adenovirus (one of the viruses that cause a common cold). This delivers the mRNA which will code for the viral spike protein which will then be displayed on the surface of the muscle cells and provoke the immune system to produce antibodies to be in the blood in preparation for a future invasion of the virus. I have no sympathy for antivaxxers. Not only are they ignorant and stupid, they are in the same category as people during the Second World War who did not want to adhere to blackout instructions in the face of air raids. I don't think this was tolerated for more than a few seconds by air raid wardens.
