  2. I think Connor needs to look up the word 'eugenics' in the Dictionary. The existential threat to the planet - the only one we have, or will ever have - is anthropogenic global warming (I refuse to call it 'climate change' as I dislike euphemisms). There is no point in talking about trying to prevent a runaway greenhouse effect without recognising that humans have bred to plague proportions. We have, worldwide, death control without birth control. It is pointless for the likes of George Monbiot to say that everything will be fine if we all live at subsistence level. No-one wants to live at subsistence level. But if everyone has a chance of a decent standard of living, the fact of overpopulation must belatedly be addressed. The World population should probably be three billion maximum, as it was in the mid-50s. At present it is eight billion and rising, with no end in sight.
